Torsion springs
Torsion springs are torsion springs that are subjected to a moment load from a pair of forces acting in parallel planes perpendicular to the spring axis.
There may be two types:
- Torsion bar;
- Twisted torsion springs.
Torsion springs are used in the following assemblies and units:
- return mechanisms
- weapon
- suspension propulsion
- switchgear
- ventilation systems
- stop and ratchet mechanisms
- medical equipment
- clockwork springs, etc.
